A walk

'Żaden dzień się nie powtórzy,
nie ma dwóch podobnych nocy,
dwóch tych samych pocałunków,
dwóch jednakich spojrzeń w oczy. '

Wisława Szymborska ( yes english, german, french speakers, she was polish she's awesome and you should goole her ;P)

I found myself recently at the point of chasing my dream but with the main focus on CHASING, state of constant run, juding every step acoording to high expectations, disapointments, succeses. Every day is a test, how much have I done to get closer? Could I do more, surely I could, why did I wake up so late, etc.

Inspiring people part II

g
Inspired by struggle- Berthold Jean Charles.

Berthold Jean Charles is a fashion stylist, modelling himself as well. He has very intresting points regarding peoples expression with clothes which analysed may get you to their self identity problems that our society seemes to have in general.
But more then that Berthold is outstanding stylist who has what it takes to become succesful-  extreme passion and will to do so.

Im sharing with you guys the secret he shared

"WANNA KNOW A SECRET?: Every successful person on this entire planet has always tapped into one talent and mastered it. No person has said I'm going to be a jack of everything and a master of none. When you focus on one thing people will know you for that and your monetary value will grow steadily because that is what people know you to be a success with. Once you have that down then doors will open automatically and other opportunities will come to you in regards to that one talent you mastered. Moral: I don't think this is a secret but every wise person knows people hire you based on what you do not what you want do when you're bored. Conclusion: Just focus on what makes you happy and what you're not getting paid for and I guarantee you'll be a major success."

piece of advice

again

"The question isn't who is going to let me ;
it's who is going to stop me..."

We all have same potential to become succesful, we're all gifted in different ways, we have talents some idea for ourselves which usually it's obvious for us when we're kids. "I want to be a singer, i want to be a doctor, an actress" etc. As children we know what we want and that's what counts, how to make it happen doesn't matter as we simply don't know. As we grow up the society (especially in Poland) feed us with informations that everything is hard, you need to have connections or "well it's easy for him" as he lives in capital or has money, or his parents are in that proffesion. My advice is to stay with that original "I want to be" , and go for it , figure how to make it happen on your way. You need connections make them , you need money earn them , you think it would be possible if you would live in certain place move there! If you want something get up and get it.

"You don't have to see the whole staircase , just take the first step"

Teresa and first project !

This women is one of the reasons I came to NY and US at all. We met in Poland , unfortunately (for me ;p) she needed to go back to US but she said , you'll come to NY and you can assist me with my projects, we'll put you into work.

So here I am and we're just warming up . Teresa is choreographer for a play "Blue Moon" wrote and directed by Bryan Quick very talented student of Columbia University. I had a pleasure to join few rehearsals. That was a great experience which made me think a lot about art of performance.

First thing when i came in : the cast goofing around, dancing, singing, joking and then 5 seconds later on directors word became completely serious in their characters saying their lines. And so different characters, created so well.
There's something amazing about acting, something mesterious. As a dancer I have a chance to perform, become different character. By face , look, body movement i need to create and express the character of the dance and besides that master physically challenging choreography. How would that be to focus just on acting ?

I also was asked to take video of the rehearsal with proffesional equimpment and i must say I would never expect that challenge to be so exciting. This feeling when it is you who decide what diserves better focus, zoom you're like the eye of the play whos responsible to cepture moments, emotions that are worth it in that very moment.

The show is tomorrow, so excited!

NY

Let the new chapter begin! updates soon

Inspirational people part I- Andre Fuentes

Andre Fuentes

"I attended once school dance class and teacher decided i should try audition for upcoming Michael Jacksons show, so I did. There were hundreds kids, they kept cutting and cutting but I was still there till there was around 20 of us and I got  it "

From time to time i will share person who inspires me. I will start with amazing cause of many reasons Andree Fuentes who i got to know as  a choreographer and a person. He shared with me his experience, visions, work, time and most important he trusted me enough to put me in his show after one class and gave a chance to be a part of the amazing performance.

Andree Fuentes is well known because of his work experience with Britney Spears.
"For the last ten years, choreographer Andre Fuentes has been at the forefront of pop music, providing the dance moves for some of the industry’s biggest stars. Andre has choreographed and performed for Britney Spears in countless music videos (I’m a Slave 4 U, Born to Make you Happy, Crazy,), commercials such as Pepsi  and live performances  such as the Oops! I Did It Again World Tour, HBO Live in Las Vegas “Dream Within a Dream” World Tour.
Andre’s work with other artists includes Beyonce, Prince, Jewel, No Doubt and Brandy.
Andre choreographed the award winning music videos “Womanizer” and “Circus” from Britney Spears’ album Circus, as well as choreographed her Circus Promo Tour and contributing choreographer for Circus World Tour."

For me amazingly interesting and inspiring is the beginning of his dance career. As you can read above he got his first job when he was a kid without any dance experience, and it was not just a job it was Michael Jacksons performance!!! Which i had a chance to see video of. After this experience he said that this was all he wanted to do and thats exactly what happened ! Now he's travelling around the world, teaching, directing inspiring!

Working with him thought me that creating a show is at some point collaboration the choreographer with dancers whos gettin inspired by them. With every rehearsal he's gettin to know he's "tools" better and so he plays with shaping the picture with them trying out how far can he goes , which pictures works with that team and which doesn't. Andres' dancers need to be ready for any change at any time as his vision is open-ended, it's elastic, and the most important lesson one must completely trust choreographer once he/she was given with a trust to be a part of his picture. Sometimes dancers forget they are only tools in a big creation process, that's when drama comes in.

Andre thank you for part in the performance, for rehealsals, for watching cut materials from work with Britney and all the other materials, for beeing a great teacher and huge inspiration !

Unniversary Carnival

CARNIVAL

"this class was first rehearsal for carnival, I want you to dance in my piece" - ok Andree let me reschedule my fligh to NY ! For those who don't know Carnival is choreographers ball in LA, prestigous event taking place every month , Januarys one is an unniversary one which means best choreographers and dancers are taking over the stage. Beeing a part of it is a big deal and so it was for me.

This experience was one of the best experiences for me as a dancer, I've learned soo much about proffesional work ethic, technique, team work. I grew as a dancer and a person. Rehersal after rehearsal we all realized that we're becoming a family and i realized that though im ocean away from home I feel like I am exactly where Im suppose to be. The piece itself was about home and finding what that word means for all of us. I think this experience made me redefined word home for me, or at least my own home the one i want and will create.
